DNA viruses

  1. All DNA viruses are Double-Stranded except Parvoviruses, which is single-stranded
  2. All DNA viruses are icosachedral except Poxviruses, which are brick-shaped complex
  3. All DNA viruses replicate in the nucleus except Poxviruses.
All viruses contain a nucleic acid genome - RNA or DNA - and a protective protein coat - the capsid.

Parvovirus is a  ssDNA.

Poxvirus replicates in cytoplasm

Polymerase DNAviruses: hepadnaviruses, poxviruses

Naked DNA viruses are the smallest: Parvovirus, Polyomavirus, Papillomavirus, Adenovirus.

Enveloped DNA virus: Hepadnavirus, Herpesvirus, poxvirus.
