Epilepsy drugs

Tonic-Clonic:            Carbamazepine, Valproic acid (myoclonus seizures also), phenytoin. 
Complex seizure:      Carbamazepine ( Trigeminal neuralgia - 1st line).
Simple seizures:       Carbamazepine 
Absence seizures:     Ethosuximab
Status epileptics  Diazepam or lorazepam; prophylaxis:  phenytoin.

Simple, Complex, Tonic-Clonic Seizures in pregnant and children:  Phenobarbital.

Seizures in preeclampsia: 1st line:  MgSO4; than diazepam or lorazepam.
